It seems that, in pre-arranged meetings, everyone has already made their minds up about what they are going to say, what their opinion is, and what outcome they want.
And yet, time after time, a good alternative view is put forward.
Unfortunately, it is usually delivered by someone who is not as confident, and the argument is hedged with possiblies and maybes, and usually ends with the apologetic words ... 'it's just a thought'.
The assertive ones acknowledge the very good point that was made, and then ignore it.
We all say what we think, but some say it more confidently, and I think the world would be a better, fairer place if the meek really did inherit the earth!
But I don't suppose meek politicians and business leaders would survive long, would they?
