I sometimes find myself wondering - should i live a different life?
Am I just too loyal and sensitive and should I be tougher.
It takes bravery to make changes, and you need to be motivated strongly enough to do it.
I am, of course, talking about relationships - isn't everyone?!
Is it better for us to try to suppress the way we feel to avoid anything unpleasant, or does this just deprive us of the better life we seek?
I'm not expecting any answers, by the way!
But it is good to think/write aloud in what I hope is safety ...

You can only suppress the way you feel for so long. Eventually, your real feelings will out, either in a storm or, worse, drip by drip over over a long, long time where neither of you can really be happy.
This is not a dress rehearsal. You get one shot at it and if it's wrong, you need to right it. Not just for you but for those around you. That said, the grass is always greener.
Never avoid unpleasantness for the sake of a quiet life. Unpleasantness is transigent; emotional fulfilment is lasting. Just be careful that what you wish for is truly what you want as permanence.
